在兩個世界之間移動

我長久棲身於兩種美學之間，卻始終未曾真正屬於任何一方。1990年代中期至2000年代，在北美與英國所接受的正規藝術訓練，為我建立了一套嚴整的框架——然而那框架始終帶著些許距離感。真正點燃我感知與想像的，來自他處：日本動畫與漫畫、商業圖像的語言，以及流行文化中不斷湧動的視覺刺激。兩者在我之中交會、並存，未曾彼此完全消解。

這種夾於兩者之間的張力，成為我創作的內在動力。畫中人物被拉伸、變形，身體轉化成出陌生而不穩定的形態，彷彿逐漸脫離一個可辨識的整體。這並非為了單純的視覺衝擊，而是一種試探：讓具象繪畫越過既有的邊界，在西方繪畫的脈絡中，引入一種未被完全規範的感知方式。觀看的經驗因此產生分歧——有些西方觀者在不安之中被吸引；而部分亞洲觀者，或許熟悉其中的視覺語彙，卻未必察覺它與繪畫歷史之間低聲進行的對話。這些錯位與交錯，使作品持續生成意義。

我將這些形態理解為一種「流動的身體」（plasmatic）：它們拒絕固定，抗拒被命名與界定。這種不確定性，正回應著當下的處境——一個關於身份流動與自我重構的時代，一種不再依附單一來源或單一外貌的存在方式。畫布上的身體，成為這種狀態的顯現。

而那些變形與異質的生長，也隱含著自嘲——像是對自身所受訓練的輕微偏移與回望。那些疏離的形體與陌生的增生，既是質疑，也是鬆動：它們觸及「藝術」的邊界，同時悄然拆解那些曾被視為理所當然的區隔。
